101 - She Has That Square Thing in Her Thumbs Again. VitaCat Fish Selection Is No Match.

DECEMBER 2025 - Week 51

Monday

Morning

We purposely both left half empty dishes this morning.

This is in anticipation of leaving some for later, due to our mother's current emotional health. She's doing very odd things, and we think we saw her crying into the walls yesterday which are still crumbling. Another reason for our unusual 'faddy eating' is that she usually cooks a fresh chicken once a week and we haven't seen any of that recently.

She seems to have that square thing in her thumbs most of the evening and her head in the clouds. Sorry, ‘VitaCat Fish selection’ is no match and she knows it.

We always ignore the water bowl. We don't know why they think drinking inside the house is a good idea. We know Mule likes a glass or 2 indoors but that’s probably a London thing. Luckily the bird bath (which is full of leaves) has a bit of rain in it and a few drops left on the patio chair so well be alright.

Anyway, we have a busy day ahead until about 11 a.m. then we'll have 7 hours of snoozing. Then we have our tree climbing competition, I'm still ahead with that one. 'The Hood' cat patrol, although this time of year none of us on this road can be bothered. However, we too have noticed a rise in the squirrel population so need to make that an objective for next week.

PS: Mack

I will then fight for the best sleeping position, no. 1. Padded bed, under the radiators and 2nd choice the chair in the kitchen. We have also discovered a safe place in the wardrobe on top of mum's shoes, this is great when she has visitors and both of us can fit in together, the number 1 bed is a bit of a squeeze…
