112 - Right. So That was Christmas. Mack Is Conducting Research on the Cushion.

Afternoon

Right. So that was Christmas.

I want to be clear that it was good. It was genuinely good and I am not being diplomatic. The chicken on the day was the chicken on the day, and we have discussed the allocation at sufficient length and I am moving on. What

I will say is that the days since have been a specific kind of quiet that I find either deeply restorative or mildly concerning depending on the hour. She has been on that square thing a great deal. There have been visitors - two on the 26th, one yesterday - the kind that arrive with wine and a bag of something that turns out not to be for us - and then this morning, nothing. Just the house and the grey and the radiator ticking. No idea where she has gone.

George, ginger cat testing a frozen bird bath

Mack has barely moved in three days, so he is either hibernating or conducting research. He says he is conducting research. I have not pressed it. In my darker moments I think he might be full and unable to move which brings dark thoughts about the allocation again. I mustn’t. I really mustn’t.

Oh, by the way, the bird bath is frozen over. I checked it at half seven and it was completely solid, which I find remarkable and also problematic. I know you’ve got your indoor water solution Mule but we’re back to the patio chair situation for water and the patio chair has ice on it too! I licked it anyway. Don't tell him.

How is London, Mule? I imagine it is quieter than usual. I imagine your agent has done something sensible. Mostly, I hope you are warm and happy.
