104 - Five Very Big Men. A Cage Around the House. We Retreated to Number 39.

DECEMBER -  Week 51

Monday

Evening

Hey Mule, sounds like a morning similar to ours. NOT.

We had one breakfast each, after a very long nightshift. She was up early and we were just settling down. Me on the chair and him in No.1 bed. We had a bit of cleaning time and got that sorted, or as our legs are in the air, mum calls it, 'playing our harp'…

It was about 9 am and she was faffing around looking out of the window and then moved her car into the road. All of a sudden 5 very big men came and built what I can only describe as 'a cage' around the house! It was like a million times worse than the window cleaner as they were here until about 10am and talking quite rough. She even made them a drink! Tea, I bet?

The usual wardrobe safety was out as the window is too close. So we were off out of the flap and disappeared up to the garden at no 39. Time went quite quick as we mainly watched Mimi parading in her bedroom window for a bit… was flippin terrifying and freezing in every sense. She is a frosty Queen that Mimi…

We eventually came home at 11 to a very excited mother who gave us days 3, 4 and 5 from our cat advent calendar (every treat is the same each day and she forgets anyway) but even that didn't make up for the trauma.

Anyway, double 'pootling' (what you call kneading) tonight from both of us. Mum's not sure but thinks it's good for the cellulite on her stomach whilst she watches TV. She’ll need to take that teddy bear blanket to the dry cleaners soon though… just saying.

We have planned a mammoth sleep tomorrow, with hopefully no dramas. We will sleep heavy, with one ear twitching as usual. It is Sunday after all… catch up next week!
