DECEMBER - Week 52
Christmas Day
Mid-morning
I want to begin by saying that Christmas morning was, overall, a success.
I want to say that first before I get into the specifics, because the specifics require some context and I do not want the context to overshadow the general picture, which was positive. Mostly.
She was up early. Excited, genuinely, which again was good to see because November was difficult and we noticed. Mind you it was difficult for all of us. There was Christmas music on by half eight. Mack came downstairs, assessed the situation, went back upstairs, came back down five minutes later having apparently decided to participate in the festivities.

The chicken. It was a proper one. Bigger. Not a wing in a bag, not the Aldi situation - a full bird, in a tray, going in at ten apparently. I watched it for a while. Mack watched it for a while. We did not discuss what we were doing. The smell by eleven was, I will say this, extraordinary.
The allocation, when it came, was - and I want to be fair here, I am trying to be fair - adequate. It was technically adequate. There was meat. There was warmth. Mack has declined to comment on his portion, and I respect that position because I understand it completely.
In all transparency, I have looked over at Mimi's window twice this morning. She had a ribbon in her collar yesterday. Just noting that. Not making anything of it. She looked fabulous.
Merry Christmas Mule, tell your agent we said so and say the same to Robert and Big Fluffy if you see them.
The cats have answered hundreds of questions on cat behaviour, food, health and more. You can find them all in the Ask The Cats library on Talking Cats.
