Mule's Life in London: A First Post Perspective

Good. This is better.

I want to say that I had some reservations about the previous arrangement - not about the correspondence itself, which I have always valued, but about the general experience of trying to locate a specific entry from November in a thread that also contains, at various points, a blurry photograph of a pigeon, three messages that appear to be from George but are filed under a different name, and something Mack sent at half past midnight that just says "no."

This is cleaner. I approve of clean.

George - I read your first entry. The pigeon. Of course. I look forward to the development.

Mack - "yes fine" is, I think, the correct register for the occasion. Well judged.

My agent has no idea what I'm doing on here and I see no reason

to tell him. The arrangement suits me. The sofa is good. London is the same as it was, which is to say occasionally surprising and mostly not.

I'll write properly soon. For now -- we're here, it works, and that's enough.
