Entry 129 - Minus Seven Here Tonight. Stopping In.

FEBRUARY - Week 11

Wednesday

Lunchtime

The heating is on. I repeat, the heating is on!

I want to be clear that this was not a request I made but one I am grateful for it nonetheless. Mind you at minus seven in here tonight, boys it ought to be on. Oh and I have checked this temperature twice and it is correct both times.

The decision has been made. I am stopping in as you might imagine - and I'm channelling George here - this was not a difficult decision! The chair is available, the blanket situation is acceptable (the Scottish all wool one), and the window has that particular quality of cold that makes the outside look like something happening to other people. I am watching it from here with appropriate detachment wondering if I should grab a bite to eat before sleeping?

Anyway, the frost on the glass is quite something.

I have been studying the patterns it makes for the last twenty minutes and I can confirm they are random and mean nothing, which is fine.

Not everything needs to mean something.

I'll finish this entry as I started, its minus seven and I'm stopping in. The heating is on. That is the complete situation and I am at peace with it.
